Bio

Although I grew up in a Christian home, I didn’t become a Christian until I was 20. I love reading, basketball, talking trash, and a great conversation. I’ve served in a number of pastoral roles over the past 13 years, both in the United States and around the world. I edited and/or contributed to Retreat or Risk: A Call for a Great Commission Resurgence and Theology and Practice of Mission: God, the Church, and the Nations. I earned my B.S. in Business Administration from North Greenville University, my M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and my Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I’m married to Melanie and we have three kids: Josiah (7), Susannah (6), and Judah (3). We are planting a church in Franklin, TN, called Redemption City Church (www.redemptioncity.com and @Redemption_City). Follow me on twitter @JedCoppenger
